Sarawak Energy Scholarship Programme

Sarawak Energy annual scholarships are a social investment that we believe will generate strong returns. This is our commitment towards supporting and developing potential talent and the next generation of leaders. Sarawak Energy scholars will become part of the high performance workforce needed to fulfil the state’s future manpower needs.

Priority will be given to students from Sarawak.

  • Air Travel Allowance (depend on need basis)

  • Employment opportunities upon graduation

Eligibility Criteria

Foundation Programme

  • Must not be older than 19 years of age during the time of application
  • Has already secured an offer letter for foundation programme from a local higher learning institution
  • Must not be a recipient of any other scholarship or financial aid
  • Strong leadership qualities, excellent team-player, excel in both extra-curricular activities and sports.
  • No other family member is currently a Sarawak Energy Scholarship recipient
  • Minimum 7As in SPM examination

 

Undergraduate (Bachelor’s Degree)

  • Must not be older than 21 years of age during the time of application
  • Interested candidates who are in their first year (1st Year) at top local higher learning institution
  • Must not be a recipient of any other scholarship or financial aid
  • Strong leadership qualities, excellent team-player, excel in both extra-curricular activities and sports
  • No other family member is currently a Sarawak Energy Scholarship recipient
  • Minimum 7As in SPM examination
  • Minimum 3As & 1B in STPM examination
  • Minimum CGPA at least 3.00 in Matriculation / Foundation / Diploma / Undergraduate (1st Year Semester 1)

Preferred Discipline of Study

  • Engineering – Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Mining (Engineering subject must be recognised by Board Engineers Malaysia, BEM)
  • Accounting, Commerce & Finance
  • Information Technology

*All programme must be accredited by Malaysian Qualification Accreditation (MQA)
